I would like to make a comment about cyclists who think they don’t have to obey the rules of the road …
After enjoying a lovely long weekend up north we got into our car and proceeded to drive home to Toronto. We obey the rules of the road and consider ourselves courteous drivers. While driving home, we stopped at a stop sign in the lovely little town of Leaskdale ready to turn left (south). The town of Leaskdale has a 30 km per hour speed limit. The roadway was clear except for a cyclist who was at least 300 metres away approaching from the south. My husband made the turn. As far as we were concerned the turn was made safely. As we passed the cyclist, he proceeded to gesture angrily and extends his middle finger. I guess we made him brake… and if so … he was clearly exceeding the speed limit.
Usually it is cyclist who are demanding their fair share „ well i say let them get caught in speed traps as well
But this raises an issue, cyclist want their fair share of the road, but do they pay their fair share of road taxes, if any?
